What is Trailer Trashed?
Trailer Trashed is an environmental movie trailer competition that harnesses your creativity to encourage others to reduce waste and recycle.
This year, filmmakers must use their talents to show British Columbians just how easy it is to recycle their electrical products.
The competition is free and open to anyone. Young and old, amateur and professional, as long as your entry is engaging, entertaining and enlightening, we want to see what you've got! Contest is open to all production styles and genres - animation, Claymation, live action, horror, parody and satire - or wherever your creative energies may take you.
Create the most mind-blowing trailer and take home cash prizes and all the glory you can handle.
1st prize: $5000 | 2nd Prize: $2500 | 3rd Prize: $500
Winners will be revealed at a premiere screening event in Vancouver.
Trailer Trashed is presented by the Recycling Council of British Columbia (RCBC), with support from this year's sponsor: ElectroRecycle.
The Recycling Council of BC is a multi-sectoral, non-profit organization that facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge that enable efficient solutions to eliminate waste. Founded in 1974, we are Canada's longest-serving recycling council and have led BC's progressive policy of Extended Producer Responsibility.

ElectroRecycle is a province-wide electrical products recycling program in B.C. It's the first of its kind in Canada, and the only government-approved small appliance and power tool recycling program in the province. ElectroRecycle gives British Columbians a convenient recycling option for the more than two million electrical products sent to landfills each year.
